News release: Successful delivery of 2009 test results to schools

Key stage 2 national curriculum test results have been made available to schools on schedule today.

Last updated: 07 Jul 2009

QCA can confirm that key stage 2 national curriculum test results for individual pupils have been made available to schools on schedule this morning. Schools can now log into the secure results website and download the results data for their pupils.

In total 99.9 percent of pupils' results are available today, exceeding the 99.7 percent target.

All schools expecting results will find their pupils' results on the secure website, but a very small number of schools will have results outstanding. These schools will be contacted directly by QCA's dedicated support team to explain why some of their pupils' results are not available and what is being done.

Andrew Hall said.

"I am pleased to confirm the successful publication of these results, which I know are so important to schools, parents and pupils. I would particularly like to thank test markers, who are mostly practicing or recently retired teachers, and all of our contractors for the hard work, commitment and professionalism which have contributed to this success.

"The successful delivery of over 1.7 million results in three subjects, all marked during a 6 week window, has been the result of close team working and a commitment to ensuring accurate and timely information is available on each child's achievements at the end of their primary education."
